Student project: The client briefed me on the renovation of his Marrickville house with original features. He lived there with his wife and two teenage boys. The main areas of focus were the addition of an upstairs, allowing for more natural light and the ability to host large dinner parties. I designed the space with Japanese and Scandinavian design in mind as they tied in well with the client's love of timber, the outdoors and simple, functional design.
