Student project: The main aim of this project was to update the cafe and optimise the space to stay ahead of the competition. The Bower is located in Manly with beautiful coastal views so the client wanted the interiors to feel casual and beachy but also sophisticated. The client also wanted the venue to suit tourists and locals alike. My concept word for this project became "intimate" and I used this to help me to develop my design. I settled on utilising a range of natural materials and fun patterns to give the interiors an eclectic and relaxed feel while still offering the addition of more refined elements to give an air of sophistication.
